Jillian is a senior speech-language pathologist at Spot Therapy Hub. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech, Hearing, and Communication Sciences from the University of Arizona, and undergraduate degrees in Human Development and Psychology from the University of California, Davis. She holds certified practicing membership with both Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Jillian’s clinical focus is in paediatrics, with a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent children to build identity, access education, and develop self-advocacy skills. She takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach to her practice, honouring each child’s unique profile and working collaboratively with families to ensure every child has access to communication in the way that is most meaningful to them, whether through speech, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), or a combination of modalities. Jillian believes communication is a fundamental right, and her role is to remove barriers and open doors rather than define what communication should look like.
She is committed to lifelong learning and continuously seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills to better serve her clients. Jillian values collaboration with other professionals and incorporates evidence-based practices to enhance the effectiveness of her sessions. She is passionate about supporting families and building the lasting relationships that make a real difference in the children and families she works with.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, coastal walks, and time at home with her husband and four cats.
