Supporting Children with Genetic Conditions at Spot Therapy Hub

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

At Spot Therapy Hub, we support children with a wide range of genetic conditions that can affect their development, regulation, movement, learning, and daily life skills. Our experienced Occupational Therapists understand that every child is unique, and our goal is to help them participate, grow, and thrive in ways that are meaningful to them and their families.

Our approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming, which means we focus on celebrating your child’s abilities rather than defining them by their diagnosis. We partner with families to support:

  • Participation and independence in everyday life
  • Regulation and emotional wellbeing
  • Motor and sensory skill development
  • Engagement in daily routines and self-care activities
  • Play-based learning, because play is a child’s most important work

We work with children with a variety of genetic conditions, including:

  • Down syndrome
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • Prader-Willi syndrome
  • Williams syndrome
  • Rett syndrome
  • …and many other rare or complex genetic diagnoses

At Spot, we’re here to support your family, providing inclusive, evidence-based therapy that supports your child to live their life to the fullest. We see your child as more than their diagnosis, our therapists see their personality, their strengths, and design therapy around their interests.

If your child has a genetic condition and you’re looking for support that truly celebrates who they are, we’d love to help. We are now accepting referrals and would be honoured to be part of your child’s journey.
