Brigitta Alexander

Speech Pathologist

Brigitta is a creative and passionate Speech Pathologist, who is devoted to helping individuals find their voice and achieve their communication goals. Working as a professional vocalist and musician, her career as a vocalist took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with vocal fold nodules. With the support of her Speech Pathologist and vocal teacher, her recovery not only strengthened her voice, but inspired her to study Speech Pathology and become a Speech Pathologist.

She completed a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Macquarie University, where she completed additional studies in acoustic assessment and vocal studies. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a Masters in Speech Pathology at the University of Technology.

Brigitta has experience working across the lifespan in a variety of settings, she has a strong drive to focus on an individual’s strengths and interests. She values working collaboratively with families and other therapists to create tailored interventions that are meaningful. Brigitta has a particular interest in voice therapy and speech sound disorders. She is keen to continue growing her knowledge and skills in orofacial myofunctional therapy.

Outside of work, Brigitta loves spending time with her family, singing and playing music, and reading. She also loves swimming, cooking and doing yoga at home with her daughter and dog.
